While in South Africa for a performance at the World Cup, Alicia Keys and her fiance Swizz Beatz recently had their unborn baby blessed in a Zulu ceremony.  Mother and child received traditional Zulu names, reports the Daily Mail.  Keys, who is five months pregnant, was chosen to receive the honor because of her work with a local children’s charity Bobbi Bear, whose workers are paid by the singer.
 
“Alicia has been made part of the tribal family because she really reached out to the people here,” said Bobbi Bear director Jackie Bradfield.

 

 
What a difference a year makes. Last year, the news was breaking that Rihanna was seeing a new rapper named Drake.  Now, Drake is riding high on the music charts.  In a recent interview, he talks about how he shared his heartbreak about their brief love affair in his single, “Fireworks.”

Rumors have been swirling and now its been confirmed.  Alicia Keys is engaged to producer Swizz Beatz and they are expecting a baby. Swizz Beats (real name: Kasseem Dean) recently finalized his divorce from R&B singer Mashonda.  This will be the first child for Keys and the third for her fiance, who has two sons, Kasseem Jr., 3, and Prince from previous relationships.
 
The singer and producer “are expecting a baby and are engaged to be married in a private ceremony later this year,” reps for the couple told People.

 

 
It’s official.  After five years of marriage, Nas and Kelis are now divorced.  According to TMZ, the marriage ended last Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.  Currently, Nas was ordered to pay $10,000 monthly in child and spousal support.  The two are expected back in court for child and spousal support claims.

Rapper Big Daddy Kane, whose legal name is Antonio Monterio Hardy, married his bride Shawnette Saturday in North Carolina. According to AllHipHop.com, DJ D-Nice of Boogie Down Productions described the wedding on Twitter.
 
“It was a beautiful ceremony,” D-Nice tweeted. “It was an honor to attend his wedding. We have so much history. During the time when my crew (BDP) & his crew (The Juice Crew) were beefing, Kane & I were friends. I was even his hypeman at an Apollo show.”

 
Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, star of NYPD Blue and The Jamie Foxx Show, sent an e-mail to her husband, agent Mike Nilon’s co-workers at Creative Artists Agency.  According to the New York Post, she accused Nilon of cheating in the missive with the subject line “Tiger Woods/Jesse James/Mike Nilon.”  The 43-year-old actress wrote: ”What do they have in common … I found out today that MY husband of almost 9 yrs has been having an affair for 5 yrs with some slut in Chicago. I am devastated!!!! And I have been duped!! Our boys don’t deserve this!”
 
The actress later released the following statement: “My focus at this time is on my kids and healing the pain. There will be no further comment.”
 
The couple have two 2-year-old twin boys Jax and Jaid.  The actress also has a teenage son from a previous marriage.

Tamyra Gray from “American Idol” fame will soon be a proud mama.  The singer and actress married Sam Watters, music producer and former group member of Color Me Badd in 2006.  She is five months pregnant and due in July, reports Entertainment Weekly.  This is the first child for the couple.

 

 
Clueless star Stacey Dash recently visited The Wendy Williams Show and discussed her budding relationship with Jamie Foxx. The two were seen together at the Academy Award after-parties. The three-time divorcee and mother of two, 43, shared how she met the 42-year-old Oscar award winning actor and singer.
 
“I did his radio show, ‘The Foxxhole,’” she told Wendy Williams, “and after the show he said, ‘Do you want to go with me to some parties Sunday night, Oscar night?’ I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, sure.’ And then he texted me and it was for real.”

Did anyone know that former “Cosby Show” star Tempestt Bledsoe and “A Different World” actor Darryl Bell have been together for 16 years?  The couple are cast members of the new Fox Reality Channel series, “Househusbands of Hollywood,” which began Aug. 15.

The show focuses on the lives of stay-at-home husbands.  The cast includes former Los Angeles Dodger Billy Ashley, whose wife is a celebrity makeup artist and former Marine sniper Grant Reynolds, who is married to FOX 11 morning news show host Jillian Reynolds.

“I think the thing that most people will be surprised about is that we are on the show,” said Bledsoe, who is a Chicago native. “Not only do we not talk about our private life, we don’t do this type of show. We don’t fit into the mold of show, so I constantly get that question. I hope people will get past the title and see what these men are doing: pursuing their careers, taking care of their children. I have nothing but respect for that.”
