First, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon let the world know that her husband was allegedly cheating when she sent an email to his co-workers comparing him to Jesse James and Tiger Woods. Now, Beauvais-Nilon, the star of NYPD Blue and The Jamie Foxx Show, made their split official by recently filing for divorce from husband Mike Nilon, E! Online reports. The two have been married for nine years. Beauvais-Nilon is seeking joint custody of their two-year-old twin sons, Jax and Jaid.

Vanessa Williams is back on TV. After the end of the series “Ugly Betty” last month, the actress has signed on to join “Desperate Housewives” this fall.
The 47-year-old mother of four is currently starring in the Broadway play “Sondheim on Sondheim” through June.
“I’m a big fan of Vanessa’s work and I’m so excited that she’ll be moving into the neighborhood next season to cause trouble in all the ladies’ lives,” said “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry.

After recently filing for divorce from husband Jessie James, actress Sandra Bullock reveals to People magazine that in January she adopted a baby boy. Her 3½-month-old son, Louis Bardo Bullock was born in New Orleans.
“He’s just perfect, I can’t even describe him any other way,” Bullock told People. “It’s like he’s always been a part of our lives.”
The couple began the adoption process four years ago but decided to keep the news to themselves until after the Oscars. Ten days after the awards, the couple separated after reports of James cheating surfaced. Bullock plans to finalize the adoption as a single parent.

In the “Size Issue” of V magazine, the publication is celebrating women of all sizes. ”Precious” star Gabourey Sidibe, 26 and Dakota Fanning, 15, are on the two covers hitting newsstands Jan. 14. In her V interview, Sidibe credits comedian and “Precious” co-star Mo’Nique for inspiring her as a plus-size actress.
“Growing up there weren’t a lot of actresses and singers that looked like me,” says the New York born-and-bred actress. “There were no real times that I thought maybe I can do it, until Mo’Nique came along. She’s a plus-sized woman who didn’t care about one day being skinny. All my life I’ve been hearing that I’ll never amount to anything until I am skinny. She disproved everything that everyone has ever told me.”
Sidibe is currently working on her second film, “Yelling to the Sky,” alongside Zoe Kravitz.

Halle Berry will be a presenter Jan. 17 at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards, announced the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Monday. Berry will join presenters, which include: Colin Ferrell, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts and Mickey Rourke.
Robert De Niro and Leonardo Di Caprio will present Martin Scorsese with the Cecil B. DeMille Award and British comedian Ricky Gervais will host the event.

Actress Alaina Reed Hall,63, died of breast cancer last Thursday in Santa Monica. She played Olivia, a photographer and sister of the character Gordon on “Sesame Street” from 1976-1988. Reed- Hall also starred on the 1985-1990, NBC series “227″ as the landlady and best friend of the main character played by actress Marla Gibbs. In the show’s final season, Reed Hall’s character married a character played by her real-life husband, Kevin Peter Hall, who died in 1991.
Born Bernice Reed in Springfield, Ohio, on Nov. 10, 1946, she appeared in stage productions of “Hair” and “Chicago.” She also made guest appearances on TV series such as “ER,” “NYPD Blue” and “Friends. Reed Hall appeared in a number of films, including “Death Becomes Her” and “Cruel Intentions.”
Reed-Hall is survived by her third husband, Tamim Amini and two children from a previous marriage.
